What Spending 6-Figures on Cloud Computing Can Teach You [Part 3]

Corona Del Mar, CA

Howdy Friend!

Part 1 Part 2

As I write this, I'm looking at a squirrel hand upside down like Batman eating palm tree seeds in the backyard.

My breakfast consisted of opening the refrigerator and spreading tuna on a piece of bread.

Sometimes in your face contrast like that sure puts things in perspective doesn't it?

Speaking of contrast, let's talk about what you don't see when The Boss A.I strategy builder creates a strategy using trading indicators.

Knowing what I'm about to teach you today can dramatically improve your results: And it's pretty simple formula to follow.

// Note: I have to differentiate between indicator-based strategies and "Cyber Code" strategies that the A.I writes in C code...a crazy topic for another day //

Anyhoo...

Bollinger Bands never get selected in any strategy created by The Boss (at least not for me, and I've done thousands of tests).

That's not to say that using trading bands don't work -- they do.

They can be an excellent measure of over-sold and over-bought price levels.

It's a key ingredient in many trading strategies -- especially the really consistent swing trading strategies.

What does work are Keltner Channels.

What's the difference? They both use price bands around a moving average right?

Bollinger Bands use standard deviation which just doesn't work very well with noisy price data. Standard deviation squares the difference from the mean.

That will effectively screw up your price target as your stock or ETF position declines. It's too easily affected by a sudden increase in volatility.

It might sound like a simple difference in calculating price bands, but it's the difference between making mediocre gains and life-changing gains.

Who doesn't want that kind of information?

Using a simple average like ATR (average true range is the key to Keltner Channels) works much better in just about everything I've tested.

Even non-price data like the Commitment of Traders works much better using an average rather than standard deviation.

Most people make trading to hard...they think you need to constantly scan the markets and work work work. There's nothing wrong with working hard in the beginning, but if you put a system in place, you don't have to hang upside down and scamper around all day to make a solid retirement income...

...leave that to the squirrels.
