Sometimes people try the most random things to solve problems.
A prime example: Using music to ward off mosquitos.
Besides the annoying itching and scratching caused by the winged vermin, they are also the deadliest animal on the planet due to the viruses they carry.
A team of researchers strapped down a poor hamster in a room with hungry mosquitoes.
As you might expect, the little guy got nailed by the little critters.
In another room, they strapped down a hamster in a room full of deadly mosquitoes, but this time they played from Skrillex.
Not only did the mosquitoes leave the hamster alone, but the females didn't even feel like breeding.
After listening to the song, I wouldn't want to either.
I don't know if going camping and blasting Skrillex is a sane solution...
....But it just goes to show you that weird experiments can work.
We're lucky to get a few experiments that actually pay off in our lifetime.
