Tales from the Cryptos
Corona Del Mar, CA
Howdy Friend!
It's "different this time" is the kiss of death for one's trading account. I was thinking about that as I saw digital coins fall apart over the last couple weeks.
Many have been cut in half like a hot knife through butter. Every generation has their bubble of trouble.
For me, it was Internet stocks.
Before that was gold, and before that it was airline stocks, before that it was car manufacturers and before that were railroads.
And on and on.
Typically what happens is that thousands of competitors give way to a handful.
Capitalism = winner take most.
I was reminded about that when eating my birthday cake a couple weeks ago. "Where did you get this? It's fantastic," I asked.
"Costco."
I thought it was from a local mom and pop bakery.
I remember laughing when analysts talked about the giant volume of competitors Netflix was about to have 5-6 years ago when it was trading at $100. It exploded 500% since then.
Most competitors will be out of business or merged. Just as most of these coins will be gone in years to come.
There will be a new Netflix special called Tales from the Cryptos to recall the horrors of losing so much money on garbage coins.
The crazy greenies are bitching about the power consumption of these things. And right now, the crazies are in charge.
That doesn't mean I won't be trading 'em.
I AM trading them. And I AM establishing a track record that gets audited by a CPA like a did awhile back.
But like I told a buddy of mine who was bitching about why my "Code-V" strategy wasn't buying for the past few weeks: "You have to let the market come to you...not the other way around."
I LOVE trading bubbles. That's where the money is made. But I won't get caught up in the bloody-watered feeding frenzy... and neither should you.
That's why I bought this picture from the movie Wall Street 2 and have it by my desk:

It's a chart of tulip prices in The Netherlands back in the 1600's. Also, it's a great reminder that these things don't end well. It's a traders' dream...but buy-and-hold will turn into buy-and-fold for the vast majority.
More from me soon.
P.S. Want to learn how to establish a track record to attract funds? When I had my trading account audited, it opened up a flood-gate of opportunities and millions in the bank.
I'm thinking about teaching a class based on my 24 years of experience building trading strategies (and now using A.I to build strategies). Click here and let me know in this quick 30-second survey
